Love your perspective- but I feel like we are just sharing the tinfoil hat for some reason…. Are we buying their marketing too?

Good luck and looking out for the next post!!

That's a great question. I worry about that too. Having the power to shape the narrative grants the power to shape reality to some extent and they've kept the game going for a long time. What gives me patience is the idea that things that can't go on forever will eventually stop. That applies to unsustainable politics, unsustainable monetary policy, and, sadly, the unsustainable pax americana.

Echos of Peter Zeihan. Echos of the Bitcoiner ethos. All that leaves is the optimism you illustrated in the cycles of history. Not pretty - but we are seeing the same ….

Nice one! I don't think they're playing 4D chess and hope to pin the economic collapse on Orange Hitler. One suspects that they're really buying their own marketing and believe things are going OK.

Good luck in the new venture 👍

"They could also be in the process of snatching defeat from the jaws of victory as is their wont."

I love that... I wonder though, did the Dems not learn how well their plan of major catastrophe, ballots mailed to every address, questionable counting, along with extended voting weeks worked to their advantage?

I'm sure there are political strategists assigned to all of these things. The election is sort of theirs to lose which makes it all the more astonishing that they look like their losing at the moment.

"... theirs to lose..."

Is it really any more theirs to lose today than it was four years ago? All those tactics were used, seemingly effectively, four years ago, would they not dip into that well again?

Fair points. I'm sure the playbook from the last election is still close at hand for this one.
